Rachel Mossey (she/they) is an intimacy coordinator certified by Intimacy Professionals Association and a casting director with membership in the Casting Society of America.

She’s a lifelong sex nerd with a decade of experience in the film industry. Her lived experience includes being queer, non-binary, plus-size, non-monogamous, and kinky. She’s passionate about consent culture and is drawn to projects exploring nontraditional sexuality.

Before working as an intimacy coordinator, Rachel worked as a community organizer and creative in sex education and related industries. This work included planning sex-positive events, directing queer erotic films, assisting with sex education classes, and shooting erotic photography. She began working as a casting professional in 2014, on Portlandia. Before the role of intimacy coordinator was created, Rachel leveraged her background to provide consent + safety services for projects she was casting. She now works as both a casting director and intimacy coordinator. Her work strongly centers direct communication and pre-negotiation. She prioritizes supporting the well-being of production, cast, and crew.
