AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS

You will need to submit the materials listed below for your audition. Directions are the same for all roles.

WARDROBE/HAIR/MAKEUP: Please go big! Wear an outfit that shows off your larger-than-life personality. Dress as though you’re a big reality TV star hoping the paparazzi will come your way. Please dress in full drag if you’re a real drag performer (if you don’t have time, you can submit for a non-drag role). No hats or sunglasses, please. Please try to stay authentic to your actual style, in an elevated way (no costumes.)

  • Headshot Recent, color headshot.

  • Video 1: Paparazzi (Medium shot / Waist up) 1-2 minutes. Please act out the following scene:

    • You are the paparazzi waiting for a big star named Kiki to come out of a restaurant she was reportedly seen at. When she walks out, do everything you can to get her attention, snap photos, yell her name, encourage her to pose, etc. At the end of the video, some of the other paparazzi notice how fabulous you look, and start taking your photo. Pose for them and ham it up!

  • (3) Photos 3 Recent photos of you.

    • 1 Photo of you in yoga/pilates outfit (or a video of you doing pilates, if you have one available)

    • 1 Photo showing off your unique style/a favorite outfit.

    • 1 Photo from your acting/modeling portfolio (especially high fashion, if available.)

GENERAL GUIDELINES (Please Review)

  • BACKDROP: Please choose a neutral background in a light color. It doesn’t have to be a professional backdrop (a wall is fine), but it should be free of clutter. Please avoid green + blue screens. Grey or white are best.

  • PROPS: Feel free to use a camera as prop. No miming, please use real objects if anything.

  • EYE LINE: You should be facing camera, eyeline should be either direct to camera or slightly offset.

  • VIDEO EDITING: None. Record separate clips for each take. Do not add any text to the videos. Do not add a title card. Do not combine clips into a single video. Recording on your cell phone is great.

NEXT STEPS: If you are selected for further consideration, we will reach out to you with the next steps. Please do not clear your schedule and assume you are not needed unless you hear from us.
