Selftape Instructions: Banfield

SHOOT DATES: Mon 10/27-Thu 10/30 (1 day, TBD)

Please do not submit if you are not available on the majority of shoot dates listed.

AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS

All submissions should be for one person and their pet(s). If you have multiple pets, you can include details for all your pets in your submssion. If you have a partner (or other pet co-parent) who would be interested in participating, you can include their information.

Please submit under the human’s name (not the pet’s name).

For your audition, we will need the following materials

  • Photo of You + Your Pet(s). Color Photo. No hats, sunglasses, or filters. This does not have to be a professional photo.

  • Video #1: Introduction (1-2 minutes) Sit together with your pet(s) on camera (if possible) and answer the following prompts about each pet:

    • For Dogs: What’s their personality like? What are their favorite toys/games (catch, frisbee, etc)? How are their manners walking on a leash and at the dog park? Do they like to ride in the car? Do they go to work with you?

    • For Cats: What’s their personality like? Tell us about their favorite spots in your house. Can they walk on a leash? Are they friendly with strangers (adults)? Do they like dogs? 

  • Video #2: Pet Video

    • Short video (30 seconds or so) showing your pet’s personality (playing, snuggling, etc)

    • For dogs, bonus if you have a video of them catching a frisbee or performing a trick.

  • 3-5 Pet Photos. Photos of your pet(s), especially photos of any special occasions (birthdays, holidays, costumes, etc) if available. If you are submitting with multiple pets, please be sure to include (1) individual photo of each pet.  

  • 2 Owner Photos 1 recent face photo/selfie, and 1 full-body shot

  • (Optional) Photo of your partner (or other pet co-parent) if they’re willing to participate.

  • (Optional) Vehicle photos. If your dog likes to ride in the car, please include a photo of your available vehicle(s).

NEXT STEPS: If you are selected for further consideration, we will reach out to you with the next steps. Please do not clear your schedule, you can assume you are not needed unless you hear from us.

NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT: By applying for this project, you agree not to mention your involvement in the project, nor disclose to outside parties any details regarding the advertiser, product, or shoot that may be shared during the casting process. Violation of the NDA may result in termination and/or legal action.

OUR PARTNERS: We recognize the brands we work with may not have a perfect history in terms of media representation or other social issues. We are partnering with them in hopes of moving in a thoughtful + conscientious direction. While we don't represent or speak for the brand directly, we'd be happy to receive any feedback this casting call may bring up, in order to open a dialogue on your behalf. Your voice matters.
