GENERAL SELFTAPE GUIDELINES (Please Review)
EYE LINE: You should be facing camera with any props in between you and camera. Your eye line should cross camera slightly, ~6 inches offset from lens. See below for reference video.
SLATE: We do not need a slate for this project. Please do not slate (i.e say your name/agency/etc) at the beginning of your takes.
WARDROBE/HAIR/MAKEUP: No hats. No glasses, if possible. Makeup should be light/natural, if any. Casual hairstyle. Please do not wear stripes, neon colors, or busy patterns.
BACKDROP: Please choose a neutral background in a light color. It doesn’t have to be a professional backdrop (a wall is fine), but it should be free of clutter. Please avoid green + blue screens. Grey or white are best.
VIDEO EDITING: None. Record separate clips for each take. Do not add any text to the videos. Do not add a title card. Do not combine clips into a single video. Recording on your cell phone is great.
NEXT STEPS: If you are selected for further consideration, we will reach out to you with the next steps. Please do not clear your schedule and assume you are not needed unless you hear from us.
NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT: By applying for this project, you agree not to mention your involvement in the project, nor disclose to outside parties any details regarding the advertiser, product, or shoot that may be shared during the casting process. Violation of the NDA may result in termination and/or legal action.
OUR PARTNERS: We recognize the brands we work with may not have a perfect history in terms of media representation or other social issues. We are partnering with them in hopes of moving in a thoughtful + conscientious direction. While we don't represent or speak for the brand directly, we'd be happy to receive any feedback this casting call may bring up, in order to open a dialogue on your behalf. Your voice matters.
