Selftape Instructions: The North Face

Please do not submit if you could not make yourself available on the shoot dates listed. Partial availability on the fitting date is fine.
INSTRUCTIONS
Please submit the following photos/videos for your audition, based on the role you are applying for.
Please do not apply for multiple roles. If you have rock climbing skills, please apply as a climber. If not, apply as a hiker.
ROCK CLIMBERS
Headshot Color photo, no filters. No hats/sunglasses. This does not have to be a professional headshot.
Intro Video 1-2 minutes. Standing, waist up. Horizontal/Landscape Mode. Please look directly at the camera and answer the following prompts.
Introduce yourself (name) and tell us about your experience rock climbing. How long have you been climbing and how often do you currently go? What kind of climbing (indoor/outdoor, top rope/trad/bouldering) do you prefer? Tell us about your current goals and/or upcoming trips.
(3) Outdoor Photos. Three photos of you rock climbing. Photos from all settings (indoor/outdoor) and styles (top rope, trad, bouldering) are great.
(3) Style Photos. Three photos from your modeling portfolio that are more street-style/fashion focused. If you don’t have experience modeling, any recent photos of you showing your personal style.
HIKERS
Headshot Color photo, no filters. No hats/sunglasses. This does not have to be a professional headshot.

Introduce yourself (name) and tell us about your experience hiking. How long have you been hiking and how often do you currently go? What is the most challenging hike you’ve been on recently? Tell us about any upcoming trips (or bucket list hikes).
(3) Outdoor Photos. Three photos of you hiking and/or outdoors. If you have experience modeling for outdoor brands, please include professional shots if available.
(3) Style Photos. Three photos from your modeling portfolio that are more street-style/fashion focused. If you don’t have experience modeling, any recent photos of you showing your personal style.
VIDEO GUIDELINES (Please Review)
BACKDROP: Please choose a neutral background in a light color. It doesn’t have to be a professional backdrop (a wall is fine), but it should be free of clutter. Please avoid green + blue screens. Grey or white are best.
VIDEO EDITING: None. Do not add any text to the videos. Do not add a title card. Do not combine clips into a single video. Recording on your cell phone is great.
NEXT STEPS: If you are selected for further consideration, we will reach out to you with the next steps. Please do not clear your schedule and assume you are not needed unless you hear from us.
NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT: By applying for this project, you agree not to mention your involvement in the project, nor disclose to outside parties any details regarding the advertiser, product, or shoot that may be shared during the casting process. Violation of the NDA may result in termination and/or legal action.
