PROJECT INFORMATION

ADVERTISER: United Airlines

TYPE: Video

UNION STATUS: Non-union

SHOOT LOCATION: Portland, OR area

SHOOT DATES: Mon 7/28, Tue 7/29, Wed 7/30 (1-2 days, TBD)

Please only apply if you can be flexible enough to clear the entire day/evening for the majority shoot dates, if booked.

PAY IF HIRED: $500/day per person for 1-2 days of work.

Pay includes your hours worked and the use of your image by the advertiser as outlined in the usage terms below.

No mileage/lodging reimbursement available, all talent must live in the Portland area and work as locals.

Talent agents: No +20% budgeted by production.

USAGE TERMS: All media in perpetuity.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS: Must live in OR/WA and be legally eligible to work in the US. If you have a talent agent, it is mandatory to list your agency on your application.

People of all identities (races, sizes, physical abilities, genders, sexualities, religions, ethnicities, countries of origin, and more) who fall within the given parameters are welcome and encouraged to apply. We are committed to representing authentic diversity across all projects.

  • For photo-only projects: All talent are welcome to submit, regardless of union status.

    For projects with video, the project will be listed as either SAG-AFTRA or Non-Union.

    For non-union video projects: Non-union and Fi-Core talent are eligible (SAG talent should not apply.) Casting does not verify talent’s union status with SAG.

    For SAG video projects: All talent are eligible to submit, but must be cleared to work by SAG if hired. This means that before shooting, SAG members may need to resolve unpaid dues. Non-union talent may be required to join the union in order to work (if they have worked on SAG projects in the past.)

    If you do not know what this means, you are most likely non-union and can apply to any project.

AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS

Please follow the directions for your role below:

  • Please prepare the following videos/photos for your audition:

    Please only include members of your fmaily who would be available for the shoot dates.

    • Group Photo Showing all group members. Make sure we can see everyone’s faces! Color photo, no filters. No hats/sunglasses. This does not have to be a professional headshot. 

    • Intro Video Standing, waist up, 60-90 seconds. Everyone in your group who is available for the shoot should stand together:

      • Each person say your name and age, then hold up your hands towards the camera (show us back and front)

      • Question for the family: Tell us about your air travel plans. Do you have any trips planned? Where would you fly if you had unlimited resources?

    • 3-5 Additional Group Photos Recent photos of your entire group. Please avoid photos with hats/sunglasses. Selfies are fine.

  • Please prepare the following videos/photos for your audition:

    • Headshot Color photo, no filters. No hats/sunglasses. This does not have to be a professional headshot. 

    • Intro Video Standing, waist up, 60-90 seconds. Please look directly at the camera, introduce yourself, then answer the following prompt: 

      • Say your name and then hold up your hands towards the camera (show us back and front)

      • Tell us about your air travel plans. Do you have any trips planned? Where would you fly if you had unlimited resources?

    • 3-5 Additional Photos of You. Recent photos (including at least one full body photo). Please avoid photos with hats/sunglasses/filters.

GENERAL VIDEO GUIDELINES:

  • EYE LINE: Please look directly into to camera.

  • WARDROBE/HAIR/MAKEUP: No hats. No glasses, if possible. Makeup should be light/natural, if any. Casual hairstyle. Please do not wear stripes, neon colors, or busy patterns.

  • BACKDROP: Please choose a neutral background in a light color. It doesn’t have to be a professional backdrop (a wall is fine), but it should be free of clutter. Please avoid green + blue screens. Grey or white are best.

  • VIDEO EDITING: None. Record separate clips for each take. Do not add any text to the videos. Do not add a title card. Do not combine clips into a single video. Recording on your cell phone is great.

NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT: By applying for this project, you agree not to mention your involvement in the project, nor disclose to outside parties any details regarding the advertiser, product, or shoot that may be shared during the casting process. Violation of the NDA may result in termination and/or legal action.
