WHO WE NEED

We need Hearing Aid Users for a video shoot for a top hearing aid manufacturer. We’re looking for:

  • Hearing Aid Users 18+ | People who use hearing aids in their everyday life, who are willing to talk about the impacts of using hearing aids on camera. We’re open to talent in all US cities, but are especially interested in people who live in the Southwestern US (NM, AZ, etc) for the closest shoot dates.

  • Latina Women age 50+ | Latina/Hispanic women who are hard of hearing and wear hearing aids.

No professional acting/modeling experience is needed to apply. You should feel comfortable on camera and be good at taking direction.

PROJECT INFORMATION

ADVERTISER: Hearing Aid Manufacturer - will be disclosed during follow-ups with applicants.

TYPE: Video + Photo. You would be talking about the positive impact of using hearing aids on your life in an unscripted interview. We’d also show you doing some activities that hearing aids help empower you to enjoy.

UNION STATUS: Non-Union

SHOOT LOCATION: There will be shoots in various locations, including the Southwestern US and other US cities. We would need you for two days in your home city. For the May/June dates, we are looking for people who live within a 3-hour drive of these locations. If you live elsewhere and would like to apply for future consideration, please use the “other locations” link below.

SHOOT DATES: May or Jun 2024. We can be flexible beyond these dates for the right candidate.

PAY IF HIRED:

  • $1500-3000 for 1-2 days of work, plus premium prescription hearing aids valued over $8000

  • Additional $1000/day is available for a friend/family member who can participate in the shoot with you.

Pay includes your hours worked and the use of your image by the advertiser as outlined in the usage terms below.

Mileage reimbursement available for talent who live more than 100 miles from the shoot location (within a 3-hour drive).

Talent agents: +20% available on all listed rates.

USAGE TERMS: 5 years global unlimited print and wed. Excludes OOH and Broadcast. (The primary intended use is to advertise to audiologists, and for in-office use by audiologists.)

HIRING REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18+, live in the USA, and be legally eligible to work in the US. Must comply with all COVID19 protocols. If you have a talent agent, it is mandatory to list your agency on your application.

People of all identities (races, sizes, physical abilities, genders, sexualities, religions, ethnicities, countries of origin, and more) who fall within the given parameters are welcome and encouraged to apply. We are committed to representing authentic diversity across all projects.

COVID19 CONSIDERATIONS:  No vaccination or testing requirements. COVID policies are determined by the production company, who is the official employer.

  • For photo only projects: all talent are welcome to submit, regardless of union status.

    For projects with video, the project will be listed as either SAG-AFTRA or Non-Union.

    Non-union video projects: Non-union and Fi-Core talent are eligible (SAG talent should not apply.) Casting does not verify talent’s union status with SAG.

    SAG video projects: All talent are eligible to submit, but must be cleared to work by SAG if hired. This means that before shooting, SAG members may need to resolve unpaid dues. Non-union talent may be required to join the union in order to work (if they have worked on SAG projects in the past)

    If you do not know what this means, you are most likely non-union and can apply to any project.

HOW TO AUDITION

Materials Needed:

You will need to submit the following materials for your audition. If you are interested but it’s not possible for you to gather these materials in time, please email us directly at casting@weeblemountain.com

Required:

  • (1) Headshot Recent, color photo. This does not have to be a professional headshot.

  • (1) Full Body Photo Recent photo showing your body type.

  • (2-6) Activity and/or Social Life Photos Photos of you doing activities you enjoy (hobbies, fitness, etc.) and/or ohotos of you with your friends, partner and/or family (selfies are fine!)

  • (1) Hearing Aid Photo Please take out your hearing aids and photograph them on a flat surface, so we can tell what model you are currently using.

Optional but encouraged:

  • (1) Video Medium shot (waist up), 1-2 minutes | Please introduce yourself (name only) and talk about how wearing hearing aids has changed your life.

    • Have hearing aids impacted you emotionally?

    • What kinds of activities/hobbies do hearing aids empower you to enjoy?

    • What would you say to hard-of-hearing people who are resistant to the idea of getting hearing aids?

  • (1) Friend/Family Photo Photo of a friend, partner or family member who would be interested in joining you for the shoot.

NEXT STEPS: If you are selected for further consideration, we will reach out to you with the next steps.
Please note that if you are not selected, you may not receive a notice as casting decisions can happen up until the listed shoot dates. Please do not clear your schedule and assume you are not needed unless you hear from us.

NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT: By applying for this project, you agree not to mention your involvement in the project, nor disclose to outside parties any details regarding the advertiser, product, or shoot that may be shared during the casting process. Violation of the NDA may result in termination and/or legal action.
