WHO WE NEED

We need Queer Men age 40+ for a photo/video shoot for a state-based health insurance platform. We’re looking for:

  • Individuals | Queer men age 40+ willing to be paired with another man to play a couple.

  • Couples 40+ | Real gay couples with one/both partners over 40.

  • Other LGBTQ+ Talent | If you don’t fit the specific roles, you can still submit for general consideration (we need more queer talent across all projects.) Please note we are unlikely to book you for this particular shoot, but will keep your information on file for the future.

We’re open to all looks and identities, and especially interested in talent who are Asian, BIPOC, and/or have Tattoos.

No professional acting/modeling experience is needed to apply. You should feel comfortable on camera and be good at taking direction.

PROJECT INFORMATION

ADVERTISER: A State-based health insurance platform (client name to be disclosed before booking if you are selected)

TYPE: Photo + Video

UNION STATUS: Non-Union

SHOOT LOCATION: Portland, OR area

SHOOT DATES: Tue 5/19 - Fri 5/22 (1 day, TBD).

PAY IF HIRED: $150/hour per person (4 hours minimum pay guaranteed). Additional $350 if your home is used for the shoot (at client’s discretion).

Pay includes your hours worked and the use of your image by the advertiser, as outlined in the usage terms below.

Mileage/lodging reimbursement available for talent who live more than 100 miles from Portland (within Oregon/Washington, please do not submit if you would need to fly in.)

Talent agents: +20% available on all listed rates

USAGE TERMS: 3 years OOH all media (excludes broadcast)

HIRING REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18+, live in OR/WAxx, and be legally eligible to work in the US. If you have a talent agent, it is mandatory to list your agency on your application.

People of all identities (races, sizes, physical abilities, genders, sexualities, religions, ethnicities, countries of origin, and more) who fall within the given parameters are welcome and encouraged to apply. We are committed to representing authentic diversity across all projects.

  • For photo-only projects: All talent are welcome to submit, regardless of union status.

    For projects with video, the project will be listed as either SAG-AFTRA or Non-Union.

    For non-union video projects: Non-union and Fi-Core talent are eligible (SAG talent should not apply.) Casting does not verify talent’s union status with SAG.

    For SAG video projects: All talent are eligible to submit, but must be cleared to work by SAG if hired. This means that before shooting, SAG members may need to resolve unpaid dues. Non-union talent may be required to join the union in order to work (if they have worked on SAG projects in the past.)

    If you do not know what this means, you are most likely non-union and can apply to any project.

HOW TO APPLY

To apply for this project, you will need to submit the following materials. Couples, please submit as many group photos as possible!

  • 1 Headshot or Couple Photo. Recent, color photo. No hats/sunglasses

  • 4-6 Additional Photos (including 1 full body photo)

  • Optional Photo of your pet(s) if they would be interested in participating.
